Today Jeannie Addleman, Chair of Community at Hatfield Rotary presented to Friendship House (a lunch club and leisure centre for retired people in Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City).

Today Jeannie Addleman, Chair of Community at Hatfield Rotary presented to Friendship House (a lunch club and leisure centre for retired people in Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City).

  • Wine for all those at Christmas lunch (plus some for the organisers and cooks - to have later!).
  • Cash to buy a small gift for all at Christmas lunch.
  • A large framed photo of Friendship House related events to cheer up a blank wall in the dining room (we will, of course, change the photo seasonally).

Rotarian David Houghton will be Father Christmas to give out the presents after lunch (our members will also be helping with the wrapping!).

In the damp winter days to follow, members of Hatfield Rotary will be giving regular talks and musical events to entertain the regular lunch-goers.

Today we responded to a request from Resolve, a charity for the homeless in Hatfield.

They have beds (and showers) and receive foods etc from local stores. However they very much needed toiletries.

Today Hatfield Rotary Club took a selection to their premises in Hatfield Town Centre, as a certain well known retailer says - “Every Little Helps"
