Rotary and Zoom

How clubs are using Zoom videoconferencing to change the way they meet and work.

It is very encouraging that to date over half the clubs in the District are now meeting online using Zoom, with others still to confirm. It is a great way to see our friends, keep up the banter and still get things done while we can't meet in person.

At least two clubs have even inducted new members online!

But this is also an excellent way of doing a make-up if your club is not meeting online. In the members only section you will (soon) find contact details of clubs who welcome online visitors, and there have also been international visits, made so much easier now,

Ideas for online meetings

Run a quiz

An old favourite but still good fun. Share a screen with the questions on it. Why not invite other local voluntary groups to take part and keep up your connections in the community?

International speakers

If you know any Rotarians abroad, invite them to be a speaker. It's a great way to catch up with them and your fellow Rotarians get to make new friends. You can hear about projects Rotary clubs in other countries are carrying out, maybe even find a project partner. And the only difficulty is the time difference.
