Sol Nepal
RCoDD's Sol Nepal project is now complete, having been wonderfully supported by other clubs and supporters together with a District 1070 Foundation Grant.
What is Project Sol Nepal about?
BACKGROUND
Marie Hounslow came to speak to Danetre about Renewable World. Renewable World use environmentaly friendly solutions to help people around the world who are less fortunate.

THE PROJECT
The project is to stop ladies in a village in Nepal climbing down and back up a mountainside to fetch water 3-4 times a day. Installation of Solar Panels to drive pumps to bring up the water. Click on the picture of the ladies to see more details.

The project was contributed to by many clubs in District 1070, along with partner organisations and other friends.
The level of funding was further increased with the award of a District Grant from the Rotary Foundastion. This award of £8000 was the largest ever made in our District.

Foodbank in Nepal
more Danetre Rotary are building a strong relationship with a Rotary Club in Nepal. This club have been helping distribute food during the recent floods in Nepal. Danetre helped by sending funds.
