Reaching the Heights of Everest…
Harrogate Brigantes club’s virtual trek to the summit of Everest , whilst taking a lot of planning and executing , has raised nearly £4,000 and the club has adopted new means such as “just giving” sites and developed fresh innovative skills along the way.
The club has pinpointed local causes deemed most needy and donated more than £10,000 since April ( e.g. supplying PPE equipment to care homes and individual computers for school work during lockdown ).
A dozen members formed a COVID relief group in late March and met by zoom every week since then with the aim of formulating fund raising activities and distributing funds to those in need. The club has endeavoured to support:
