District Public Image Grants

Seven successful District Public Image (PI) grant applications have been made to date in District 1040.


Grant applicants have kindly agreed to share their name and email details if other Clubs, who are considering PI Grant applications, wish to get in touch or alternatively contact John Hodge, Public Image Lead to find out more.

Assistant Governors
A pilot project called MythBusters as shown in the photo. This grant has resulted in a banner being available for each area of our District. The banners are part of an emerging District inventory and are managed by each Assistant Governor.

Bradford Bronte

The investment in electronic communications equipment that will be included on an emerging District inventory for other Clubs to share. Equipment will include a projector, portable speakers, portable wide-angle camera with tripod, microphone (Omni Directional).

Cleethorpes
A range of banners with up to date Rotary branding that will support a COVID-19 secure Bunny Tastic Easter 2021 event for children and their families, which will raise the profile of Rotary in the local area and promote Rotary to younger people.

Northallerton
A Facebook boost campaign, to widen the reach of the Club. The grant spend will be integrated into other forms of public image developments. The campaign will help promote existing developments like interviews with local businesses, in order to promote their services, encourage local shopping, and reach new audiences

Scarborough
A grant to support a multi strand ‘Rotary Roots in the Community’ public image project designed to raise the Club profile within the area. One strand will use local college students to modernise their website and social media along with training Rotarians to sustain the developments. 

Skipton
In partnership with local businesses, Rotary will use a 40-year-old VW refurbished camper van to help promote both Rotary clubs in Skipton. The grant will be used for a range of banners including End Polio and Youth based content with up to date Rotary branding. https://www.facebook.com/skiptonrotary   https://twitter.com/SkiptonRotary

South West
Two banners to be shared by all area Clubs via the Assistant Governor. One features names and images of South West area Clubs and another consists of a ‘word cloud’ that reflect Rotary values. Both banners will be listed on the emerging District inventory.
