Rotary Support for WORLD POLIO DAY.

Despite the restrictions caused by Covid-19 many of our Clubs were able to support World Polio Day, 24th October.



Bridgend Rotary

lit up three iconic buildings Coity Castle St David’s Church, Laleston, St. Crallo’s Church, Coychurch
















Cowbridge Rotary  

Cowbridge Rotary decided once again to celebrate World Polio Day this year, however it had to be virtual.  Guests from Cape Town SA joined members and friends of the club to hear the story so far, share a meal and then be entertained by the Lions Youth Brass from Cheshire.  Plus lit up St. John The Baptist Church, Llanblethian









Henllys Rotary 

Their Honorary Member and Polio Ambassador “Roving Ronnie” completed the 1240 Challenge.  He travelled far and wide to spread the word about the incredible work Rotarians have achieved In the quest to eradicate Polio.









 

Rhondda Rotary

Once again Rhondda Rotary was able to light up the Parc and Dare Theatre, Treorchy The Morlais Hall, Ferndale and our third photograph features PP Sue Morgans who is Mayor of Rhondda.






















Porthcawl Rotary

Were delighted to light up the Porthcawl Pavillion.  They also had a very special purple window display in their local Trinity Church dedicated to our Polio Eradication project.
