Online fun for Christmas 2020. Thanks to everyone who participated in the races. As a result of entries and donations we are pleased to say that a total of £312 has been raised for the charities that we were supporting.

Following the success of our online Duck Race, a new fund raiser and for a bit of fun to raise Covid spirits, was run ahead of Christmas 2020.  Online Santa and Snowman Races with funds raised to charity.

Reduced cost entry and bonus entries for buying more was used to try and encourage participation.  Races were split into two types, with prizes to suit.  Santa Race for children and Snowman Races for adults.   All of the races are posted on our YouTube channel. Allander Rotary - YouTube

We also ran a race for each class and one for the staff for Killermont Primary School, who have our RotaKids club.   Winners for each class race got a free entry into our fund raising race.

Requests for a family race and one for a local Brownie pack  identifed as potential further fund raiser offering family races for £5 with a second race offered as well.  Two Santa Races, two Snowman Races or one of each.

Money raised will go to either Scottish charities supported by Allander or to SSP (Swaziland Schools Project)..  Allander have been supporting SSP since 2003.  A summary of our involvement can be found here
