The Club

"Each Member of a Rotary Club makes a difference. Together, Rotarians make change."

Club Background

Barnsley Rotary Club was founded in 1922 and meets weekly at The Holiday Inn, Dodworth Barnsley.

The main objective of Rotary in Barnsley is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today's most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. They also support programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development. Most of all members are determined to enjoy Rotary and have fun as members. Why not join us?

Rotary is one of the world's leading membership and humanitarian service organisations, with 1.2 million members globally.

Members of Rotary volunteer their time to make a difference in their local communities and around the world through projects which support education, fight disease, promote peace, provide clean water and much more.
