The Club meeting on 22nd June held in the New Golf Club was chaired by President Colin Mitchell who informed members and guests that despite the restrictions posed by the Covid pandemic the club had been able to financially support a number of both local and international causes throughout the year.
Donations from funds raised at different events run by the club and from financial resources retained had been made to Ukraine Red Cross support their activities in Ukraine during the current conflict, to the St Andrews Foodbank and to ”Hop on a Bus” a project promoted by a Rotary Club in Pennsylvania represented on Wednesday by Meg Ramey a former Rotary scholar at the University of St. Andrews who confirmed to the meeting that after two years fundraising by her club to raise a matching Rotary International Grant the order had now been placed for a rolling classroom bus which would provide educational opportunities to children in Liberia.
President Colin was also able to make funding presentations to two charities whose representatives attended the meeting.

A further donation was presented to local Madras student Isla Hedley who recently became the World Junior Cross Triathletics champion to assist with costs incurred whilst competing in her chosen field of sport.
Further funding is to be provided for the renovation of water wells in Cameroon which were originally installed through funding provided by the club.
