Rotakids
You are never too young to start making a difference in the community
We not only change the lives of others; we change our lives, too.
Thanks to IPDG Barbara’s encouragement, all our RotaKids clubs have all been registered for 2023/24.
Congratulation to Joy Palmer-Cooper for her tremendous support of our RotaKids again this year.
At least three new Rotakids clubs are planned, so we can truthfully say we are training the new generation of Rotarians in our District.
more Our Rotaract Clubs are in Tyneside, Durham and Darlington.
more Our District now has eight active Interact Clubs, with more in the pipeline for chartering later.
more The 2023-24 Youth Competition Information Packs and posters have now been uploaded and are available in both the public and members’ area of the Rotary GB&I website.
more Bookings were very strong for RYLA 2023 at our new site, alongside Hannah's Meadow in Baldersdale, on the Cleveland Way. The two 5-day courses took place in August 2023 and the Presentation Evening is on 21st September 2023 at The Federation Brewery.
more Our District entries won one first prize and one Highly Commended in the National Finals of the 2023 Youth Competitions. All of the results have now been published.
more This is a recording of our District Youth Webinar on Wed 24 May 2023.
more No Youth Exchanges are expected to be organised by RGB&I this Rotary year, though our District is considering supporting young people wishing to participate in a STEP (Short Term Exchange Programme) Youth Exchange in 2024.
