As in previous years, the tournament is in an 18-hole Better Ball format using Stableford points. Any player can enter a team (you do not have to be in a Rotary Club) but you must have a recognised handicap. Entry Fees this year are at our pre-covid levels of £25 per player,£50 per team of two and the prize fund is also being increased to £200 for the winning team with 2nd and 3rd at £120 and £80 respectively.
Play starts at 09.00 on the day with two teams playing together as a group of 4 departing every 10 minutes after that. Tee times are allocated on a first come first served basis with entry fees paid please.
Prentice Coaches Ltd have confirmed their sponsorship of the nearest the pin competition providing bottles of single malt whisky as prizes at all 18 holes.
Players have an optional competition at the short 10th hole to win £5 if they get on the green with their tee shot.
The Silent Auction will again take place - details of the prizes to follow and raffle tickets will also be on sale.
Catering is very good value this year with the staff at the golf club offering an all you can eat buffet for players with hot and cold choices for £8.00. It would be helpful to give them an idea of numbers on the entry form if you will be taking up that offer.
All funds raised will be used for our Rotary projects both here in Haddington and further afield.
We look forward to seeing you in May.
Neil Forbes (President)
