Santa's flying rescue!

It was with great pleasure that we recently donated the proceeds of our Santa's Sleigh collection to the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.

Thanks to the magnificient efforts of our members and Friends the sleigh visited more streets of Wickford than ever over the Christmas period, and as reported elsewhere the response from you the public was fantastic!

And the recent was brilliant too.

We are proud to announce that we were able to provide a record donation from the sleigh to the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance (EHAAT) to the tune of just over £7,800!

We were visited recently by Roger Smith, a volunteer with the charity, who gave us an insight into the work that the EHAAT do, undertaking in excess of 200 missions per month on a regular basis, and getting to the scene of most incidents across the whole of in under 10 minutes. He also reminded us of the lottery which EHAAT run which helps support this brilliant charity based service. We were pleased to give him a cheque to the sum of £7815.50 based on your donations. So thank you, thank you, thank you!
