Abergavenny Rotary Club has raised over £3,500 in street collections in Abergavenny in March, April and May 2022 and sent these funds directly to the Jaroslaw Rotary Club in Poland. This money has been used by the Polish Club to purchase food and other supplies for Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war zone and to purchase medical supplies, which have been sent to the city of Cherkasy on the Dnipro river, some 200 kms South East of Kiyv in Ukraine.
A return visit by five members of Jaroslaw Rotar Club to Abergavenny took place between 19th August to 22nd August 2022. See entry for event in Rotary Year 2022-23
