This will support those affected by flooding in Pakistan, and elsewhere.
We are proud to be in the position to purchase a Rotary Shelterbox to support those suffering after the extensive flooding in Pakistan. Many thanks to everyone who have contributed to our fundraising efforts - without you this would not be possible.
THIS IS THE LATEST NEWS FROM SHELTERBOX IN PAKISTAN:
A ShelterBox emergency response team is in Pakistan working to get emergency shelter aid to thousands of people left with nowhere to live by the floods. Their initial emergency response will support thousands of people in Sindh, with tents and household items.
They are working in partnership with Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) and Islamic Relief Pakistan for their initial project, distributing tents, water filters and carriers, mosquito nets, and solar lights to thousands of people affected by the floods.
Now their aid is in-country they be delivering training on how to use their equipment and tents so that this can be shared with local communities who will receive the aid.
They are planning to help thousands more people with cash assistance, as part of a second project, which they know from experience empowers local communities to make choices about hiring skilled labour and the materials they need to rebuild their homes. Cash will be distributed alongside household items provided by Islamic Relief.
