About District grants

  • District Grants are usually fairly low value grants with a short timescale.
  • They can be local or international.
  • They are to start within 1 year of the grant being awarded and be complete within 2 years.
  • Once established they should be self-sustaining.
  • The project must not be started until the grant has been approved.
  • It needs to have the involvement of Rotarians.
  • They need to involve at least one of Foundation’s Area of Focus.

The applications for district grants must be made by the end of May each year.

Someone from the applicant club needs to attend Grant Management Training. Dates to be advised.
