The St Edmunds Dinner was a roaring success with around 130 local business people and residents gathering to celebrate our Local Saints Day for the first time in many years.
The event was a feast of delicious food, from local caterers Be Seasoned , Wines from Nethergate Wines, and entertainment courtesy of speaker Simon Edge local author of "Anyone for Edmund"close up magician Andy Leach, and music from Abbeygate Sixth Form College.
Auctioneer Ed Crichton took the hammer for 5 superb Money Cant Buy lots including a tractor driving experience for 4 from Claas, a drive in a Lambourghini Countach, and a metal garden sculpture from Designs on Metal, personalised perfume making experience from Omega Ingredients and a 5 course Tasting menu from 1921 Angel Hill.
The total raised thanks to everyone's generosity was over £10,000
All proceeds are to local charitries including Gatehouse and the Theatre Royal.
