Hyde Hall Live wins again!

The summer kicked off in grand style this year with the fantastic Hyde Hall Live event, which has run for a number of years now.

The collaboration between RHS Hyde Hall and Rotary Club of Wickford brought about three evenings of brilliant live music, much to the joy of the hundreds of fans who came along to the three events in late June.

The first evening saw the fantastic Motown Live entertain us to a sell out audience. An evening of Motown classics such as   “Ain’t too proud to beg” “Baby I need your lovin’” and many more thrilled the capacity audience for a brilliant night of live music, and got people on their feet dancing in the evening air.

On the Saturday night the Capital S band captivated the audience with renditions of Swing and Jazz classics such as “Pennies from Heaven” “Hold on to What we’ve got”, “Livin on a prayer”  “I Wanna be like you”  and many more.

And on Sunday The JukeBox Jets again thrilled the audience with 1950’s rock n roll classics such as “Let’s Twist Again” “Rock around the Clock” “That’s alright”  and many more. 

And thanks to the ex-Sergeant Major who read out the raffle ticket numbers when the PA died!

Monies raised for Charity donations including to St Luke’s Hospice in Basildon is looking good this year although the final total has yet to be established. Roll on next year!
