Garden Games for Foundation

Members got together for some fun fellowship and fundraising!

Foundation Chair Peter often comes up with some brilliant ideas about how to raise some money to put into the coffers and this summer is no exception!

This year Peter’s ruse, in conjunction with Sports Chair George was to offer Garden Games to the members and friends with the aim of parting them from their money to contribute to Foundation.

And so it was that on a sunny afternoon in July we all got together in his garden to acquaint ourselves with the rules of croquet, darts, Connect4, pétanque and giant Jenga.

After a couple of hours of debate over the rules of each game, we then agreed that we had all won at everything, and so to celebrate we  joined together for fish and chips and a glass of wine!

Donations to the event raised in excess of £250 to Foundation.

Next Stop; the Conker’s championship!

back We are very proud to work with the Local community in many ways, from raising money for local good causes through to providing events and facilities for the people of the town. This section tells you more about what we do.
