The bench is in!

Wickford Rotary recently sponsored a new park bench in Beauchamps field in the Memorial Park


In a recent collaboration with the Friends of the Wickford Memorial Park, Wickford Rotary have sponsored the first bench to be installed in the new Beauchamps Meadow in the Memorial Park.

This haven of peace and quiet is being planted up by the Friends of the Memorial Park to provide a beautiful landcape for the people of the town.

Members of Wickford Rotary went along to see (and sit on!) the bench shortly after its installation and to view the other projects being undertaken by the Friends. Kim Oakes from the Friends took us to see the various projects which are ongoing at the moment, including the orchard of classic species of fruit trees, the reflection garden being planted up at the moment, and many more.

The Friends meet every Wednesday and Saturday to further their projects and are alway2 looking for helpers; check out their Facebook page for more details
