The State of the Railway oday

The speaker at the meeting of Kendal Rotary on 24^th February was one of its own members, Robert Talbot, who is also a member of ‘Lakes Line Rail User Group’. He gave a talk on ‘The state of the Railway today ’along with a brief history of the railways in the UK. He outlined the changes that have taken place to the system since the railway came to Kendal in 1846/7and also gave his thoughts on the future and where things are likely to go looking forward.
