On Saturday morning, 19th April, Market Bosworth Rotary Club's held
its annual Easter Egg hunt in the glorious surroundings of Market
Bosworth Country Park.
This year the registration desk and starting point was moved to the Rugby Club on Cadeby lane so entrants and their parents could take advantage of a drink and a sandwich before and after the event if they wished.
From the Rugby club ground 173 youngsters were able to enter Bosworth Park and follow a
simple trail looking for lots of small eggs hidden around the route,
under the watchful eye of Rotary Club members.
When children had found all their eggs they returned to the starting point to be rewarded with a much larger egg -yummy, yummy.
Everyone agreed that it had been lots of fun for the children and their parents.
This was intended purely as a community fun event, not a fund raiser; however, with such a large attendance we made a surplus of £457 which has been dontated to local charities.
