Girls and Boys teams from Chew Valley Primary Schools took part in the Annual Football Competition at Chew Valley School on Tuesday 25th March.
The teams were divided into a girl’s league and a boy’s league and every team played matches against all the teams in their league. Each match was played with 7 players in each team. All matches, on four pitches, were refereed by Year 9 students from Chew Valley School.
At the end of the afternoon, Rotarian John Palmer and Adrian Miller presented the Cups to the winning teams and medals to all the team members. The Boys Competition was won by Pensford Primary School. The Girls Competition was also won by Pensford Primary School, so the School had a double success!
The Rotary Club of Chelwood Bridge has sponsored this competition by providing the cups and medals for a number of years and is pleased that it is so enthusiastically contested to a high standard by so many schools.
Thanks to Charlotte Foley who organised the event and to the Year 9 students from Chew Valley School for their excellent work refereeing all the games. Congratulations to all the Primary School pupils who enthusiastically took part. It was a great event and reflects superbly on their enthusiasm and skills.
