Khiraule

The speaker at the meeting of Kendal Rotary Club on 12^th May was Christian Hoyle who gave a presentation following his visit to Khiruale in Nepal recently. He first visited the village along with this father, Past President Philip Hoyle, over 15 years ago when the club helped with the building of a new school and more recently following the devasting earthquake helped with funding a new Community Centre. He went to attend the grand opening of the now completed project and was treated as a distinguished visitor. The Centre has a Community Hall on the ground floor with accommodation for visitors on the first floor. A separate kitchen block and toilet were also built adjacent to the main building.
