CARROT GROWING COMPETITION FINAL & BBQ

This year the challenge is to grow carrots!
For £10 members can purchase at least one metre of carrot seed tape.There are no rules to the growing i.e. any compost, any container, sow when you like.
Everyone will need to harvest their own crop before the BBQ and judging (date tbc).
There will be two categories - longest carrot and quirkiest carrot.
The main challenge is to grow the longestcarrot the winner will receive the prize money, with half going to a charity of their own choice.
If there be a tie the winner will be chosen on girth and/or weight (the carrot, that is, not the owner!).
There will be a small prize for the quirkiest carrot.
