Charity Golf Texas Scramble


Over the 28 years of organising our Charity Golf Competition, we have managed to raise nearly £120,000 for named Charities and various other good causes. A list of some of those organisations supported over the years is noted below Breast Cancer UK Dumfries & Galloway Befrienders Food Train McMillan Cancer Support Marie Curie Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland Action for Children- Upper Nithsdale family Service Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) Support in Mind Scotland Guide Dogs for the Blind Alzheimer Scotland Help for Heroes Enable Shelter Box Motor Neurone Disease


This Year's Charities

Alzheimer Scotland

Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. Our aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, we campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research. We have Dementia Resource Centres in 25 different locations across Scotland. Those centres provide a safe and friendly environment for people with dementia and their carers to visit and take part in a wide variety of activity groups.

Nith Inshore Rescue

Our aim is to protect life and property under threat from the sea, inland water, flooding and other water related incidents in the Upper Solway and surrounding area. To this end Nith Inshore Rescue maintains craft and equipment which are deployed, when required to do so, by the HM Coastguard Rescue Co-ordination Centre. Nith Inshore Rescue is proud to be an HM Coastguard Declared Facility. We also work closely with a range of partners including Police Scotland, Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, Scottish Ambulance Service, RNLI, and the local Moffat & Galloway Mountain Rescue Teams.
