Kids Out Day - Flambards

Kids Out day June 9th saw a good number of Rotarians from a number of clubs in the western area of District 1290 take 66 children plus the caring staff from from Nancealverne and Curnow Schools to Flambards. The delight on children's faces shows the worth of the day, it seem very special to them.  Our thanks go to all contributing Clubs for their financial & physical help & also to Flambards for their contribution and friendly help.

This year the Rotary Ramble will again be at Perranuthnoe on Sundayt 19th September.

In 2008 the Rotary Club of Penzance organised the first Rotary Ramble to help local clubs and organisations raise funds for their own use and Rotary. Now an annual event the Ramble has raised nearly £20,000. All registering Clubs may retain 75% of their Sponsorship money for their own good causes or nominated charities. The remaining 25% is passed to the Rotary Club of Penzance. In 2008 and 2009 the Rotary Club has supported ShelterBox, the Stoke Association, Institute of Cancer Research, Cornwall Hospice Care and the Precious Lives Appeal. Each benefited from the Rotary funds raised.
