Welcome to the website of the Rotary Club of Thame

www.thame.rotaryweb.org

Thame is a lovely old market town situated not far away from the Chiltern Hills. The Oxfordshire town was first mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1087. The picture on the left shows the impressive Victorian Town Hall.

Using the menu on the left, you can find out more about what we do. We are a part of Rotary International, which is the world's largest voluntary organisation. If you are a Rotarian visiting the area, you will be made welcome at one of our meetings - check the venue and programme pages for further details.

Haiti Earthquake Appeal on behalf of ShelterBox and AquaBox

Members of the club collected generous cash donations on behalf of ShelterBox and AquaBox in front of the Thame Town Hall on Saturday 23 January 2010 for about 6 hours. In excess of £3,000 was raised which will go towards 6 ShelterBoxes! The Rotary Club of Thame would like to thank the people of Thame and surounding district, as well as the many visitors who donated on the day.

There is still time to donate - please send donations to:

The Rotary Club of Thame

c/o The Spread Eagle Hotel, Cornmarket, Thame, Oxon. OX9 2BW

or click here to access the Contact Form and send us an e-mail with your postal address - you will then receive an envelope to donate by post.

The first ShelterBoxes to arrive in Haiti have been immediately utilised by doctors in Port au Prince in desperate need of equipment to help treat huge numbers of injured Haitians. To find out more information or if you wish to send us your thoughts, please click here.
