Council Meeting

11th January

LA23NET at changed venue to be confirmed.  The evening begins at 5.45pm giving you a chance to network and socialise directly after work. A buffet meal is available from 6.15pm onwards - £13 per person or £5 for non diners and no shows.

A big thank you to everyone who came to the LA23NET Christmas Quiz in November - what a cracker! It was great to hear from our first 'Goldfish Bowl' speaker Peter Armer of RFM Accounting and understand what sets them apart. Next month we'll be hearing from Felltarn Friends, already excited!

Our first speaker of 2017 will be the very insightful Andrew Thomas, Senior Editor at Westmorland Gazette. A great opportunity to better understand what makes news and how to position your own business in the press. Andrew Thomas has worked at Westmorland Gazette for many years and has seen huge changes in that time. Namely the birth of digital publishing and social media and how that has transformed the world of printed press. Not quite as old as the hills, but with a reputation that is just as solid, the Westmorland Gazette has been the definitive voice of the Lake District and its surrounding communities since 1818.
