Rotary Club of Axminster - welcome! Please scroll/swipe down through this page to find out more about us, in addition to the pages linked in the menu, top-left.
The Rotary Club of Axminster was chartered in 1959 and is an off-spring of the former Rotary Club of Honiton some eleven miles to the west. The normal meeting day is every Friday at 1.00pm at the Conservative Club in Trinity Square just opposite the Minster church with the exception of the second Thursday of each month when we meet in the evening at 6.15pm . In addition if there is a fifth Friday in the month this may be arranged as an evening meeting with partners.
We suggest visitors should ring the Secretary - Nick Smy on 01297 33388 to confirm details and book a lunch as catering is carried out to order.
We currently have a membership of 24: we are a friendly, informal club where traditional Rotary values and humour are the order of the day. We run a varied programme of speakers and events. Visitors are always made to feel most welcome and we are sure will enjoy both our fellowship and food. We look forward to meeting you.
Equally, potential new members are cordially invited to come and meet us.
Our major goals for 2016/17 are:
To support all District Foundation initiatives with particular emphasis on the worldwide eradication of Polio.
To support our local community in all facets of local life.
To have fun and "Engage Rotary".
Be part of a global network of volunteers, trying to make the world a better place. Please also see the 'links & news' page for information from the local district and live feeds from Rotary International and Rotary International in GB&I.
