About us

CHRISTMAS DRAW 2023

Casterbridge Rotary remains committed to helping local charities and good causes and I am pleased to announce that the Christmas Draw for 2023 will be run again this year.

The Draw has been running since 2004 and during this time it has raised more than £155,000 and we hope that 2023 will be the most successful year yet.

We are very grateful to our sponsors as without their help this draw could not have taken place especially so this year when we know many businesses have struggled with the continued impact of the economic situation.  We are pleased to retain the support of many of our sponsors including Dorchester Timber, Meyers Estate Agents, Brewery Square, and Edwards & Keeping Accountants, and are delighted to also have the support of Magna Mazda and Wilmott Dixon.

The principles of the draw remain unchanged:

Participants (which must be small local groups or not-for-profit organisations) sell the draw tickets which are in books of 5, these are sold at £1 per ticket, money and ticket stubs are returned to Casterbridge Rotary Club.  The Rotary members will endeavour as in previous years to add a bonus to the amount raised by a participating charity or group, by selling tickets at Dobbies Garden Centre.

The Dorchester Christmas draw winning tickets will be drawn on Friday 16th December 2022.

Cash prizes of 1st Prize £500, 2nd prize £250, 3rd prize £100. 4th prize £50

Every penny raised by an organisation selling draw tickets will be returned to that organisation together with any bonus from the Casterbridge Rotary Club sales. (This is usually an additional 5% but in 2021 we achieved 15%)

Payment must be received WITHOUT FAIL by noon on Friday 15th December for your sold tickets to be entered into the draw

This is an opportunity for you to raise those much-needed funds to help your organisation.  Selling tickets is always a challenge, but we anticipate that with the critical need for funds; groups will rise to the occasion and be delving into phone books, email contacts, and utilising social media to persuade their family and friends to support them

GOOD LUCK!

Please see further info under 'what we do' - Christmas Draw 2023, which includes a link on how to access tickets.
