About us

Rotary in Angmering South Downs

Newly formed in 2022 we have already attracted over 25 men and women from Angmering and the surrounding towns and villages, all having the interests of the local and international community at heart.

We are proud to be part of this international organisation which has more than 35,000 clubs worldwide in 200 countries and a total worldwide membership in excess of 1.2 million

Our club offers a modern approach to Rotary, seeking to preserve the principle of 'service above self' in the the community, (local, national and international), whilst making the Rotary experience friendly, sociable, informal and inclusive.

As well as working with long standing local clubs, supporting existing activities and organisations, such as the Angmering Christmas Market, the East Preston Festival, the St Peter and St Paul foodbank, the Three Forts Challenge Marathon and the Worthing Carnival, we have initiated our own projects of fund raising, information outreach to older citizens, Christmas markets and action to improve the local environment.

Our social activities include theatre outings, skittles, ten pin bowling, putting, darts, quiz nights and croquet matches.  Our summer garden party is not to be missed!

If you have a project that you think might benefit from our support please contact us but if you would like to get involved please join us.

Come along to either one of our supper or business meetings - you will be sure of a very big welcome.
