The Rotary Club of Ashton in Makerfield with Haydock has been in existence since1974 and today we are a lively and successful club.
We support our local community in schools, hospices, youth organisations, and various local charities and support groups.
For the first time in our history, we are holding a fireworks display in conjunction with Ashton Athletic Football Club. This event will be held on Friday 6th November 2015, and entry to the ground will be by ticket only. Details of the costs and how to purchase tickets will appear on this website shortly.
We are part of Rotary International which is a world-wide organisation.
Internationally we are involved in the eradication of polio through Rotary International's Polio Plus Project.
Rotary is also well known for responding quickly to disasters throughout the world.
Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (RIBI), as the name suggests, is the association of Rotary clubs within England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland, comprising 53,000 members - men and women of all ages and backgrounds - in 1,850 clubs.
Rotary clubs are based within local communities, with their members meeting on a regular basis to enjoy friendship, networking, and to plan projects that will benefit the lives of others.
Rotary clubs depend on the skills, expertise and dedication of their members, who work hard to change the lives of people in communities both at home and abroad.
