The 2019 Heritage Coast Run / Walk
The 37th running of this popular annual event took place on Sunday 5th May 2019 and was a huge success with over 860 entrants running or walking the 6,13 & 26 mile routes. Our sincere thanks to everyone who took part, runners, walkers and supporters, and the many helpers who make the event what it is. For more information and to view the provisional results, please go to www.heritagecoastmarathon.org.uk or our Facebook page.
Next years event is on Sunday 3rd May 2020.
What a Result !!
Last years marathon event raised over £13,000 for worthy causes. The two main charities supported this were SERV and Riding for the Disabled. Both charities were awarded £4,000 each. SERV covers Suffolk & Cambs collecting and delivering blood and baby milk products between the major hospitals. The Woodbridge & District RDA provides a valuable service to disabled adults and children in the local area.
The main charity being supported in 2019 is Prostate Cancer UK. We will be announcing, later in the year, the level of the award for this very worthy charity.
General Data Protection Act (GDPR)
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) legislation is coming into force on 25th May 2018. It is EU law but it will become law in the UK on 25th May 2018 (regardless of BREXIT) and will replace the Data Protection Act 1998. The Club will ensure that it is fully compliant with the new legislation.
