About us

Our club was founded in March 1939 and has been active ever since, including the war years when the club's meeting place was bombed. Our support is given primarily, but not exclusively to the people of Orpington, including those whose needs are seen to be too small for the larger charities to encompass, and to those whose care is linked specifically to our own locality. Our support and help also extends to national and international needs.

We have links with two other Rotary clubs, one in France and one in Germany and contact with them is maintained with annual exchange visits.
