The Purley Rotary Club is a community led organisation with a long history of serving the local Purley community since 1923.
By combining their skills and resources, members of the Purley Rotary Club work to make a real contribution to the lives of others.
Should you wish to become a community organiser, then Rotary can provide the skills and support for those individuals wanting to experience leading an existing project or to maybe start a new project.
You may enjoy taking part in helping towards good causes and want to contribute to the well being of others through collaboration with fellow Club members.
You may wish to join in the social life of the Club and meet other like minded individuals in the regular cultural activities or perhaps enjoying varyious competitions organised between Clubs throughout the UK.
If you would like to learn more about our activities, please feel free to contact us.
We look forward to introducing ourselves and our club to you.

An Invititation from Purley Rotary Club to help you raise funds for your club, organisation or charity:
This year’s (2016) the Purley SWIMATHON raised £23,000 for local organisations and charities with 39 teams and over 270 swimmers taking part in the event. View a photo summary of Swimathon 2016.
The SWIMATHON is a fun event organised annually by the Purley Rotary Club and helps local organisations raise the cash they need. Organised for 2017 over two separate evenings (Saturday 25th February and Thursday 2nd March 2017) it gives your team of swimmers the opportunity to raise money for your organisation, or a cause or charity you select. Purley Rotary Club takes complete responsibility for staging and running the event. Teams can be made up of friends, colleagues or family members.
The SWIMATHON is not a marathon, but a FUN event. No team or individual is being asked to swim an unduly long distance. The event involves a team swimming continuously for 55 minutes with one member of the team being in the water at a time (relay style). Swimmers aged 6 to 83 and of differing abilities have taken part since the first Swimathon was organised in 1988. Since then over £475,000 has been raised for charities and organisations. You can be part of history by helping this very popular charity raise this figure to a fantastic £500,000 in 2017.
