Welcome to the website of the Rotary Club of Lewisham & Penge
The Rotary Club of Lewisham & Penge was formed on the first of July 2011 by the amalgamation of Lewisham & Penge Rotary clubs. Prior to this, both the old Lewisham and Penge clubs were individually chartered in 1926, but in different months. The new club continues to be part of RIBI District 1130 (Greater London).
In the first year of inauguration, it is my privilege to have been voted Club President for the year 2011/2012 and I hope to continue with the illustrious traditions of both Lewisham and Penge.
My name is Sheila Davis, and I wish to give you some background information concerning the new Club. Our members come from various professions and employments, and we meet weekly on a Monday where we partake of a meal, enjoy a speaker and extend friendship.
During the forthcoming year we raise funds by means of various means, including social events, and these monies are used to help local charities and international charities.
Rotary is an International organisation having been formed over 104 years ago. Please contact Rotaryinlondon.org for more details.
