After a successful classic car tour in April 2017, which raised over £17.5k for CHAS and Cancer Research UK, the Rotary Club of Blairgowrie ran an ambitious weekend in 2018. The weekend was attended by HRH Prince Michael of Kent. The Perthshire Classic Car Festival was held over the 21st and 22nd April. It consisted of a parade of 130 cars through Perth city centre, which was viewed by several thousands spectators on the 21st together with a Classic car show at Scone palace, involving a number of activities and entertainment, which was equally popular. On the 22nd there was a Drive it Day for 80 cars leaving from Blairgowrie, travelling on part of the Snow Road into Aberdeenshire, lunching at Raemoir Hotel Banchory before ending the day for a High Tea at Scone Palace. The Festival raised over £25k for Cancer Research UK, Alzheimer Scotland and the Rotary Foundation.
