On Thursday 17th February 2022 President Brian Johnson. welcomed 18 Club Rotarians and guest Jean Haughey, 15 at this lunch time Hybrid meeting at the Gilvenbank Hotel with 4 at home on ZOOM.
Five apologies for absence were received.
Scott Galloway incoming Senior Vice President spoke about his second of the six workshops on his employability programme. Of the original 31, 28 were able to attend with all pupils continuing to engage in this session. Scott also mentioned that his business Home Sweet Home Estate Agents Fife will be opening offices in the local area in May. We all wish Scott well.
Iain Oates along with Secretary Anne Sampson displayed the videos we had received from the 4 Primary schools for our annual Ian Chalmers Scots Poetry competition. The winning entry will be made next Thursday 24th February 2022, where hopefully we will have Ian Chalmers’s daughter on ZOOM from Tenerife where she now lives.
Wilna Roger had laid out photograph entries, the theme “Beauty of Nature”, which had been received at the Gilvenbank Hotel for the High School Young Photographer competition where judging had taken place last night Wednesday 16th February 2022 at the Gilvenbank Hotel. Entries were now coming in from the High Schools for the Young Musician competition which will be taking place through SWAY.
This coming week Thursday 24th February 2022 is a lunch time Hybrid meeting commencing at 1.00pm. at the Gilvenbank hotel with a meal, where the presentation to the winner of the Ian Chalmers Scots Poetry competition.
