Club Service

The President Elect has responsibility for Club Service which relates to the in house governance and running of the Club.  It covers such diverse matters as Fellowship visits to other clubs, visitors to the Club, public relations, the club website, club events, and welfare of members, membership and recruitment.

Membership and recruitment have become a priority.  Whilst the club comprises some 69 members we recognise the benefits that would accrue from younger men and women joining.  We are seeking to attract younger people to our Club and at all future events we attend either as organisers or helpers we will have a recruitment information point. The major fundraising event for the Club is the Rotary Shakespeare Marathon and Half Marathon which we have organised for some 30 years and which attracts around 4000 entrants. Other fundraising events include a golf day. These events give all members the opportunity to be involved and along with many other things we do can be rewarding but also great fun.

The website is continually being updated and improved and will become an important tool in disseminating information to and communicating with members.
