The Role of the Entertainment & Sports Committee

Chair Committee Members
Steve Drinnan Richard Hughes, John Davies, Bill Shaw and David Foden

The idea of a fellowship committee is to bring together members of our club who perhaps only have contact with other members at our meeting on Mondays and to make acquaintance with their partners and members of other clubs.

We do this by holding  our successful fellowship suppers held at members homes; the last one was held on the 9th and 11th February.  In July we shall have our night out at the races.   From time to time, we meet up with other clubs to play bowls and ten pin bowling.  On May 13th we are to host the Shropshire night at The Walls restaurant Oswestry when we hope to have fellowship with other Shropshire clubs.

Again this year, we shall meet up with other clubs from all over the country at Frodsham for the annual clay pigeon shoot.  In November we shall have our weekend away in Windsor organised by John Neave.  Although last year we did not have our Christmas bash because of bad weather and sickness, our thespians are looking towards the end of this year to entertain us!!!   That is what fellowship is all about!

For the first time we are very proud to show off our new club shirts so that we have an identity outside the club.
