The Rotary Meeting on Monday 17th February is a "Guest Meeting" when we should all DO OUR BEST TO BRING A GUEST.
It's vital for the future of the Club that we all use this occasion to bring new people along and introduce them to Rotary. Each and every one of us should ensure that we do not waste this opportunity. You can never tell - we might convert even the most unlikely guest into a potential member.
It's no excuse to say "now I'm not working, I don't meet anyone". We all have friends, next-door-neighbours, GP's, dentists, and so on. A lot of us will know solicitors, accountants, bankers, vets, shop keepers, decorators, plumbers, car dealerships, etc. etc. Also, when thinking about who we might invite we should not overlook the fact that we need to increase our number of female members.
Please act now and get a guest or two lined up for this meeting on 17th February.
The speakers are two long-standing volunteers in the British Red Cross, Fire and Emergency Support Service - Donaldson-Selby and Leigh Wilson. The British Red Cross is a humanitarian charity that helps people in crisis whoever and wherever they are. Whilst it's well known for its international work it also work extensively in Britain and has a number of services to help local people. Currently it has a project to provide a new emergency vehicle to serve the people of Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire in the event of fire, flood or other crisis.
Please indicate on the Round Robin if you are coming and how many guests you will be bringing.
