Disabled Activity Day (DAD) 2013

We welcome everyone to the third annual Disabled Activity Day which will take place on Saturday 1st June between 10am and 4pm on Plymouth Hoe Promenade. The event is organised by Scoot-a-long a local charity, the Rotary Club of Roborough and Active for Life.

The event has grown over the years and this year will be bigger and better with over forty organisations involved in providing you with an experience to remember. There will numerous sports demonstrations including wheelchair basketball and tennis, golf, rowing and table tennis. In the arena throughout the day Attic dance will perform along with gymnastic displays and Fire Brigade demonstrations. We will be joined by local performers The Veins and James Baugh who will provide live music during the event.

There will be lots of prizes and stalls including an opportunity to win the use of a Mini for a weekend courtesy of Ocean Mini and a VIP pass for the Wheel of Plymouth courtesy of Freij World Attractions

DAD is a fully inclusive day for all the community to enjoy and join in the activities. The day is about breaking down barriers and getting disabled and able bodied people working together as together we have so much to offer each other. Ultimately it is just about everybody having fun.

For further information about attending the event please contact 01752 784490 or 0779 363 3269
