For the meeting on Tuesday 7th January, the Rev'd Beverley Ramsden the
minister of St John's church in Mostyn Street, accompanied by her husband
Mark, had been invited to deliver the New Year's message to the Rotarians
and their guests. 'Pilgrimage' was the word she chose to create her message
around. A pilgrimage may be described as a journey in life with an aim to
get somewhere. Rotarians are like minded people who meet together, who plan
together, journey together in order to achieve things together for the good
of local communities. Perhaps the most famous example of an actual journey is
The Pilgrims' Way, the historic route taken by pilgrims from Winchester(
shrine of St. Swithun) to the shrine of Thomas Becket at Canterbury in Kent
The vote of thanks was given by Secretary Garth M
