7.15pm Speaker Meeting - Edward Hiller, Managing Agent of Mostyn Estates 'The future of Llandudno'

Tue, Mar 4th 2014 at 12:00 am - 12:00 am

Edward Hillier Director/Land Agent Mostyn Estates

At the latest meeting on Tuesday 4th March, Past President Bryan Davies introduced Edward Hillier Director, Land Agent for Mostyn Estates, a position once held by his father. Whilst Llandudno has evolved into a commercial centre it is still hugely dependant on tourism for its life blood  The view that the status quo is an option is bogus because there is no middle ground between Llandudno prospering by growth and total failure. Seaside towns as a group are perceived as being in terminal decline but Llandudno is the dominant town in North Wales and has 8,200 bed spaces, twice as many as the Welsh Assembly centric Cardiff.

The environs and environment are first rate but as always
