District Quiz

Last Thursday our intrepid quiz team ventured forth to the wilds of St Neots Golf Club to participate in the Area G round of the annual District Quiz. The team consisted of Leigh Brewin, Paul Heerey, The President and Senior Vice. We had a good meal beforehand and this proved to be the highlight of the evening as far as we were concerned. There were 5 testing rounds of questions with a possible total score of 50. Suffice to say that the winning score was only 31 and I'm afraid that we didn't even manage half marks finishing with only 23. At least we weren't last but our team has fared much better in the past and I would urge those veterans who declined this year to reconsider for the future. Your club needs you! Well done and thanks to those who did volunteer and who tried valiantly. It was noted that Bedford Rotary entered three teams and perhaps we can muster more than one in future if the quiz continues. This is currently in doubt as the organisers are standing down and as yet have no replacements.
