Speaker Evening with Dominic Bond

Meet at the Royal Oak at 7:30pm for dinner at 8:00pm, after which Dominic Bond will talk about the Sabre Charitable Trust. David Dunkley will host the speaker.

Working with local education authorities to build a brighter future for school children in Ghana
 

The Sabre Charitable Trust is a small charity working on a big issue: Education. Through their Whole School Improvement Programme, they are working with the local education authorities to make school a better place for Ghanaian children and encourage them to stay in education for longer.  They work at all levels of the Ghana education system, with a particular focus at kindergarten where the needs are greatest.  Their core focus areas are building sustainable kindergarten complexes, training teachers and creating resources.  Outside of this they facilitate international school partnerships, run adventure expeditions and promote tourism in Ghana through volunteering opportunities.
