Lostwithiel Carnival 2014
Sunday 20th July 2014 to Saturday 26th July 2014
Come and join us at one of Cornwall's best little carnivals
Events throughout the week are generally free, but entry fees are charged for some competitions
A number of road closures will be in force during the week, in particular on Wednesday 23rd for the Pram Race, on Thursday 24th for Street Party and on Saturday 26th for the Carnival Parade. We apologise for any inconvenience this will cause for residents, but the closures are necessary in order for the events to go ahead.
The countdown to Carnival week has begun. As usual our week of festivities and fun begins on the King George V playing field with the Charity Day. Following the success of last year we will again base the day around the traditional town fete where you will find lots to do. The charities of the town and further afield will have a selection of goods and competitions to tempt you once the day starts with the traditional Flora Dance. Indeed, why not dress for the occasion and come along and join the opening procession across the field.
Expect to have a nice afternoon tea and cakes thanks to the volunteers from the community centre or a cool beer and a burger from the Young Farmers
