The first part of the Citizenship Scheme took place today at Bolton Arena.

A total of 64 children aged around 9 years old took part in a series of activities, supervised by Arena staff and school teachers. 8 Schools sent pupils along to mix with students of other schools, and we saw them develop skills in several sports such as tennis & handball and other sports. The Pupils were there for around five hours and had a small lunch at midday.

The teachers were happy with the event and thanked Rotary for their support.

The Advertiser sent a reporter along who took photos with the attention of reporting the event in the newspaper. At the end of the day ,each pupil was presented with a certificate by the Rotary President Ted Wisedale.
