Art Event 2013
The 2013 event was
UNDER A CHANGING SKY"
This was the eleventh in a series of annual art events organised in aid of charity by the Rotary Club of Aberdeen Deeside, held on Sunday 12th May at the Marcliffe Hotel, North Deeside Road, Pitfodels, Aberdeen where proprietor Stuart Spence has once again generously donated the use of the Grand Ballroom for the evening. Guests were treated to a fabulous evening of art, fun and entertainment with renowned local artist Michael Samson, www.michaelsamson.co.uk. The painting process started at 7.00 pm and was captured live and projected for all to see using a high-quality CCTV system. Proceeds from the evening were donated to Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research and other charities.

This year artist Michael Sampson not only painted a picture in the alloted time but also created a charcoal sketch and both were auctioned at the end by Tom Epps, who kindly donated his time and considerable talent, with the proceeds being generously donated to the supported charities.
