Club members on 5th August welcomed Hilary Galt, a visitor from the Rotary Club of Belfast. Officially listed as Club number three in Britain and Ireland Belfast club was founded in 1911. Hilary brought greetings from their President Ronnie McLean. The speaker for the night, David Thomas, was indisposed, so Secretary Garth Mann spoke to the club about his experiences in his role as a traffic police officer in Birmingham supporting visits of the Queen to that city on several occasions.
